Rules and Guidelines
School Party Guidelines
- Non-Westgate children (younger siblings) are not permitted inside Westgate for parties or room decorating
- Your Westgate Student is allowed to decorate the room, but they should be supervised
- Please use easy to clean decorations and supplies (For example, no glitter or confetti)
- No balloons or latex decorations allowed
- No food allowed of any kind to be brought in, or used at the party
- Parents are not allowed to give gifts to the classroom students that are addressed to be from their own child
Classroom Decorations
- Room Reps and/or Parents can decorate their child’s classroom for the Halloween Classroom Party Decorating on Wednesday, October 30th at 3:35-4:30, and the Valentine's Day Classroom Party Decorating on Wednesday, February 12 at 3:35-4:30. These time frames are firm, and there is no option for anyone to come in earlier those days.
- All classrooms do need to be decorated
- If the room reps and/or parents in those classrooms are not able to come in on those days, then please contact Shelly Daley so we can find other parent volunteers to help that day
- There is no need to check in with the office since the party will be after normal school hours, but everyone needs to enter and exit through the front door
- All volunteers can go straight to their child’s classroom
- Simple decorations are recommended
- Ask your classroom teacher if there are any specific decorations that they do not want in their classroom. (For example, some teachers might not want streamers or anything hanging from the ceiling, etc). Your teacher may also have some holiday decorations that you can use as well for the parties.
